New paper argues that Sustainable commodity sourcing requires measuring and governing land use change at multiple scales

In a new study led by Erasmus, we argue that initiatives to monitor and address commodity-driven deforestation must avoid the trap of focusing only on plot or farm-level traceability and monitoring, and must instead measure progress and define success at multiple scales in order to address deforestation. https://doi.org/10.1111/conl.13016
