Pauline has studied Geography (B.Sc.) and Global Change Geography (M.Sc.) at Humboldt University in Berlin. During her studies, she has worked as a student assistant at Humboldt University supporting a project to map shifting cultivation dynamics in Mozambique using remote sensing. She is currently working at UCLouvain as a researcher supporting Philippe Rufin’s work on mapping field size dynamics in Sub-Saharan Africa using deep learning and very high resolution satellite imagery. Her main objective is to scale up the workflows for mapping active cropland in Mozambique to Sub-Saharan Africa.
